Uruguay vs Chile

The two best teams in Group C face off in an excitign Friday night game. Chile having won their opening game agaisnt Mexico have an advantage that they dont need to win but with Alexis Sanchez (Udinese) they possess the most impressive player in the tournament thus far. Sanchez was part of everything good that Chile did in their win over Mexico and even though Chile went behind they always looked like winners in the game. The Mexico/Chile game was the first and only game to go over the 2.5 goals in a game mark and it was due to the attractive attacking style of both Mexico and Chile and expect the same in this game. Captain Caludio Barvo and Coach claudio Borghi will again look to Sanchez to lead the Chileans with the impressive Arturo Vidal (Bayer Leverkusen) contributing from midfield and will hope for a better effort from their rear guard where Jara (westbromwich albion) and Contreras (PAOK) looked a little shaky.

Uruguay opened their campaign with a tough game against a tough and determined Peru side who took an early lead and defended manfully for the rest of the game only concedeing to a superb Luis Suarez strike ( Liverpool) and probably deserved the luck they got in keeping the game at one one. Diego Forlan (Athletico Madrid) went close on a number of occasions for Uruguay especially from set pieces around the box and the wiley veteran still has pace to burn and great vision it will be him and Deigo Lugano captian of the Uruguay who will lead this side. With the impressive Edinson Cavani (Napoli) also up top with Suarez and Forlan I cant help but feel this side will score goals tonight.
There havent been many goals in the Copa America and with only one game going over the 2.5mark thus far we will get a decent price on the over tonight. But with such an array of attacking talent on show I just cant help but feel we will get goals in this one and I fancy the Uruguay to get more. Given the prices here as well Uruguay represent great value at 6/4 Chile are a good side but if Lugano and co can keep tabs on Alexis Sanchez then its difficult to see where Chile will create anything.
Anthony’s Pick: (1Unit) Over 2.5 goals (1Unit) Uruguay to win
