It’s not a cakewalk for Kratika Sengar to play the Rani of Jhansi. The actress was recently rushed to a clinic while she was shooting an elaborate scene in an underground tunnel filled with water. However, due to the intensity of the heat and suffocation she fell unconscious and was immediately rushed to a doctor.
Kratika was advised a complete day’s rest. She says, “I have been shooting non-stop for 14-16 hours a day for the past few months and this has taken a toll on my health. Shooting inside a tunnel involves intricate lighting and we had to shoot several re-takes to get the perfect shot. I was feeling a little giddy but did not take it as a warning and continued to shoot. Playing the character of the legendary Laxmibai is very inspiring and it gives me the strength to push my own limits every day.”
