Steve Jones

When it was confirmed this weekend that Steve Joneswould co-host The X Factor with Nicole Scherzinger, women all over the country set to Googling the model-turned-TV presenter. And this is what they found (see right). How is it possible that someone this good-looking could be so unknown to us?
As it turns out, there's much more to Jones than a pretty face and sexy Welsh accent. And, he's been linked to numerous A-list leading ladies in Hollywood. Let's take a look at his resume, shall we?
According to US Weekly, Jones has a "wealth" of TV experience including: the late-night series Transmission; the marathon music show Carling Live 24; seven years on the popular children's weekend morning entertainment showT4; two seasons of Let's Dance for Comic Relief; and the quizshow As Seen on TV. He's also an actor and so far has appeared in Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging, and Plus One.
And, if all these titles mean absolutely nothing to you, you are not alone. Let's put it this way: Jones is a big deal in the United Kingdom. And, I'm sure after his stint as X Factorcohost, he'll be a big deal here as well. If there's one person who believes in him, it's the series creatorSimon Cowell who said:
These two are going to be great together ... I have always wanted Steve to work with us; I think he is a real star.
Do you want to know who else probably thinks Jones is a star? Halle Berry, Pamela Anderson, andHayden Panettiere are apparently fans of the handsome host and not just of his work. Rumors say Jones has dated all three of these A-list beauties.
The X Factor, which begins taping Sunday and premieres in September, is a reality show that searches for the next music superstar or vocal group. Judges include Cowell, as well as L.A. Reid, Cheryl Cole, and maybe Paula Abdul. My DVR is already full with American Idol and The Voice, but now that I know Jones is involved, I might just be tuning in.
