Flowers Online

We have the best of intentions on Mother's Day, shopping online, finding the most beautiful bouquet of flowers we can.
Those blooms cost big bucks and, as we found out, can bear little resemblance to the bouquet you thought you bought.
Consumer Reporter Maureen Kyle ordered from three national florists to see which floral arrangements truly were most fitting for a special Mom.
They were sent to one of Kyle's favorite mothers and a harsh critic -- her grandmother.
One from ProFlowers called "all the frills" for $78.54, including delivery and was a lot less than we expected. In fact, it was missing some flowers said to be included
Another from 1-800-FlOWERS called "Fields of Europe for Spring." With a 15 percent discount code, the total came to$61.93. The second bouquet, from 1-800-flowers looked even better than the picture,'
The third, from FTD, was a tulip bouquet for $79.98, including delivery charges. It came with an extra tulip but still wasn't Kyle's grandmother's favorite.
FTD's tulip bouquet was expensive, but it did resemble the bouquet in the website photo. Mixed bouquets, tend to have the greatest variations.
Make sure you read the fine print about substitutions and let customer service know if the arrangement you ordered is missing any of the promised flowers.
