MAY 1

Wake-up weather: Sunny, cool. Temp: 44.
Sunday: Fair skies and pleasant. High: 66.
High pressure will continue to bring fair skies and seasonably cool conditions to Monroe as we head into the day on Sunday. Unsettled weather returns for Monday through Wednesday, as clouds increase and some rain enters the forecast.
Sunday: The weekend looks to end on a pleasant note and temperatures should also be a couple of degrees milder than Saturday as well. With high pressure passing towards the east, winds will shift around towards the south. This, combined with fair skies, will allow highs to reach the mid-60s.
Monday: The next storm system will approach by Monday, although the morning should stay dry. As clouds increase, showers will be possible from afternoon on. Any rain looks to be generally light and scattered. Highs are forecast to reach the lower 60s.
Tuesday: We may catch a break in the action, but clouds remain in the forecast for Tuesday. A passing shower or two cannot be ruled out and highs should top out in the lower 60s.
Wednesday: The next storm may be a more significant rain-maker. Periods of rain are expected for Wednesday and the rain could be heavy. This will keep temperatures on the cooler side, with forecast highs around 60 degrees.
Thursday: The unsettled weather is expected to finally wind down towards the end of the week. Clouds may break for some sunshine, although cool temperatures are forecast for Thursday.
