Extra TV reports that the A&E reality star posted bond for Cage following his arrest over the weekend. Cage was taken into custody on charges of public intoxication, disturbing the peace and domestic violence battery against his wife.
Dog posted the $11,000 bond for Cage citing his admiration for him as an actor as the motivation.
Dog was quoted as saying he is “Truly a dedicated” fan of Cage and he posted the bond as part of his duties as bail bondsman. He asserted his actions were not intended as a publicity stunt for his show “Dog the Bounty Hunter.”
Cage has also been in trouble with the IRS and reportedly owes $14 million in unpaid taxes.
We’ll see if Dog bails him out of his tax trouble too.
