Many of Charlotte, North Carolina area is pre-school is through a snow storm this winter, dumping several inches of snow closed in the region.

Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools has scheduled a makeup day for Martin Luther King, Jr. 17th January 2011, according to the schedule of the school district. Rock Hill District III has scheduled a make-up day.

Some people have expressed their enthusiasm for snow. Clover school district sent automated phone calls to the participants on Sunday evening, before the snow began. Students already have plans for spending the night with friends who were in their backyard hill slide.
