Natalie Wood

Natalie Wood
After a few months ago caused a stir when it reopened the investigation into the mysterious death of Natalie Wood, everything seems back to the same starting point.

As reported by the Los Angeles Times, police have not found any evidence to say that the terrible death of the actress in 1981 was a homicide.

Recall that the office of sheriff of Los Angeles reopened the investigation last November after the captain of the yacht where the actress was just before his disappearance, Dennis Davern, changed his testimony. Given the new evidence is assigned two homicide detectives to the investigation.

Now, after weeks of interviews, the Chief of Detectives William McSweeney told the newspaper that no evidence has emerged indicating that the death of Natalie Wood was not an accident. "At this point it is an accidental death. Nothing has been discovered that suggests change that," said Los Angeles Times.

The star of "West Side Story" and "Rebel Without a Cause" died on November 29, 1981 under mysterious circumstances. His death has been fraught with mystery since the age of 43 drowned appeared, dressed in evening clothes and a little over a mile from the yacht occupied with her husband Robert Wagner and friend of the couple, the actor Christopher Walken.

Wagner said at the time that after Walken was going to his bedroom, got into an argument with his wife who went to bed. Shortly afterwards he was in his search but was not in the boat and discovered that a boat had also disappeared. On the other hand, the lifeguard captain Roger Smith said last November that could have saved if they had the actress warned in time of her disappearance, saying he alerted the 5:11 a.m. the next day.

Dennis Davern, who commanded the "Splendour" that fateful night, has co-authored a book claiming that Wagner and Wood argued strongly that the actress just before disappearing, and that was her own husband who took the search for his wife.
