Telangana Bandh


Public transport services also affected as supporters held demonstrations and stopped vehicular movement at various places.The two day bandh called by the Telangana political Joint Action Committee (JAC) has disrupted the normal life in Telangana.

According to reports, the bandh affected schools, colleges and shops as they were shut. Public transport services were also affected as supporters held demonstrations and stopped vehicular movement at various places.

City buses of Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) in Hyderabad suspended their services as a precautionary measure, added reports.

The bandh also affected the banking and financial activities of the district.

The All-India Bank Officers’ Association has reportedly estimated that banking transactions worth Rs. 20,000 crore will be affected during these two days, as most of the banks in the region may remain closed.
