Riverbed

The autopsy of a man whose body was found in the Santa Ana River was inconclusive, authorities said, with further testing needed to determine the cause of the 74-year-old Santa Ana resident's death.
Officers responding to reports of a body in the riverbed below the West Fifth Street bridge about 7 a.m. Friday found Papalii Faasiusiu bleeding from the head, police said.
Faasiusiu, who police say also went by Fred, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators have not determined whether Faasiusiu fell, jumped or was pushed but say there were no initial signs of a struggle.
Police were waiting for results of a Monday autopsy to determine if foul play was involved.
The initial autopsy was inconclusive, however, with additional tests, including toxicology, needed to determine the cause of Faasiusiu's death, Supervising Deputy Coroner Larry Esslinger said. Such tests can take weeks or months to complete.
Authorities are asking anyone with information to call Santa Ana police at 714-245-8400.
