Real Madrid vs La Galaxy

The Uruguayan admits he will be asking for Cristiano Ronaldo's shirt after the game and reveals fixture against Jose Mourinho's men will be a highlight of his career.
LA Galaxy's Paolo Cardozo is eagerly anticipating his side's friendly encounter against Real Madrid on Saturday night, but claims Barcelona are the world's best team.

The MLS outfit take on the nine-time European Cup winners in a pre-season friendly match for the La Liga team and Cardozo cannot wait for kick-off.

The Montevideo-born player told AS: ''It's unbelievable to play this game. These matches are unique and in life you always want to play these games. It's the nicest thing that has happened to me in my career so far. I'm enjoying it.''

The South American also expressed his admiration for former Ballon d'Or recipient Cristiano Ronaldo.

''I hope I can say hello to Cristiano Ronaldo. He is the kind of player that you don't meet every day. I must take this opportunity. We will all be asking for his shirt!''

However, Cardozo claims he prefers Barcelona, believing the Catalan club produce the best football in the world.

''In Spain the team is I love is Barcelona. Today the world's best football is in Spain, in Barcelona," he added.

"There are few [teams] who play like Barca. Watch a game from them, it's the prettiest.''

Madrid will kick-off their pre-season tour on Saturday night in Los Angeles. After that, the Spanish side will play three more friendly matches in the United States, one in Germany, one in England and the final two in China.
