By now you must have heard the news that Facebook is progressing with it’s casual Facebook Chat. A few days ago Mashable reported that a Facebook version of Skype will appear as a “call” button at the top of users’ profile pages. NYTimes.com reported that Facebook adds a video chat, group chat, but not group video chat which is just another thing for us to look forward to.
According to Startribune.com, Skype is taking a calculated risk to expand its user base. Getting access to Facebook’s 750 million users would lift Skype, which has about 170 million regular users.
Skype is also considering starting paid services on Facebook, like the ability to call any phone while using Facebook.
So that’s it for you. That’s the Facebook Announcement. Happy about it?
