Saying goodbye to Harry Potter inThe Deathly Hallows — Part IIwill be bittersweet for millions of fans who grew up reading the books and watching the films, but perhaps no one appreciates the finality of the last film more than its stars, who’ve grown up before our very eyes. Daniel Radcliffe told Nicolas Flamel, I mean, Larry King, in a CNN special scheduled to air this Sunday night, that he “wept like a child on the last day” of filming. “It’s been such an extraordinary experience to work with, essentially, the same group of people for 10 years,” Radcliffe said. “You develop such close bonds with so many people that it — it feels odd that — though those bonds will still exist into the future, it feels very, very strange to not be going back to work with them next year.”
Rupert Grint felt much the same way, telling King, “It was kind of like the last day of school, and I remember packing up my dressing room and putting all these kind of odd birthday cards and toys that I’d kind of collected over the years … It was quite a big kind of shock, really, kind of, leaving it behind.”
