A Hizbul Mujahideen militant was arrested by security forces from south Kashmir's Pulwama district, police said on Friday.

Police and CRPF apprehended the militant from Awantipora yesterday and recovered one AK 47 assault rifle, two AK magazines and 50 AK rounds from his possession, a police spokesman said.

The militant was identified as Imtiyaz Ahmad Ganaie of Wopzen village of Bijbehara area in Anantnag district.
