RAMPAGING hockey fans took to the streets of Vancouver and Boston - brawling, setting fire to a car and attempting to flip a police bus - following the Canucks' loss to the Bruins in Wednesday night's Stanley Cup.
In Vancouver, people were seen dancing on top of an overturned Nissan vehicle just moments before it went up in flames, the Vancouver Sun reported.
Ten-foot (three-metre) flames were coming from the car as fans dressed in Canucks jerseys milled around taking pictures.
Hundreds of people were seen encouraging the rioters to destroy the vehicle.
There were also reports of fist-fights and further blazes throughout the Canadian city, which hosted the game at the Rogers Arena.
Live television footage showed mobs rioting in downtown Vancouver as a massive fire raged and police rushed to regain control of the streets.
Meanwhile in Boston, fans attempted to tip a police bus across the road from TD Garden - the Bruins' home stadium, WCVB-TV reported.
Fireworks were also set off in front of the stadium.
The Boston Bruins beat the Vancouver Canucks 4-0 in Game 7 to win their first Stanley Cup since 1972.
