UK Time

UK Time
Exclusive Networks has indicated the VADition acquisition will be its last in the UK for the time being as it looks to shift its focus to central Europe.

The French-based distributor operates in 11 countries and has acquired both Arc Technologies in 2009 and now VADition but the CEO of Exclusive Networks Group Olivier Breittmayer said that it felt those two purchases were enough and hinted that it would bulk up its business in Germany next.

He said that with Arc in the North, based in Chesterfield, and VADition in Hampshire it now had coverage of the UK geographically and the two distributors had different expertise in the enterprise and SME channels.

"They are complimentary and gives us a very good footprint in security and storage," he added that the acquisition spree in the UK was over for now as, "other countries were now more strategic."

He added that it did not plan to make any organisational changes to the UK operation, which will now be run by jount CEOs from VADition Neil Ledger and Ian Morris as it would take time for them to identify the strategy needed in the combined business.

"Both distributors are growing so there is no reason to reduce the number of people," he added.
