The Infocomm Development Authority (IDA) has stipulated that while it sets minimum service quality standards for broadband providers in Singapore, those standards do not apply to online gaming. For this reason, it has ruled that Internet service provider (ISP) StarHub did not contravene any guidelines when a technical problem earlier this year caused lag for tens of thousands of World of Warcraft (WoW) gamers here.
