Shangri La

Today is the day that Xbox 360 owners can get their hands on the latest DLC pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops. The game love it or hate it has proved to hugely successful since it was first released last year. With COD Shangri-La Zombies the excitement from owners has drowned the need for MW3.
Many Black Ops owners love the zombie campaigns more than the main section of the game. Now today Xbox 360 owners can start purchasing the Annihilation map pack which includes the Shangri-La zombie map. We recently gave you an article looking at the achievements for this which you can see here.
With this latest expansion pack for Black Ops it will help gamers through to the November release date for the next Call of Duty game Modern Warfare 3. This latest addition brings the total playable maps to 26 which is a lot of content, but has meant consumers needing to find extra money every few months.
To some this will not be a concern as they want to tackle the latest batch of zombies, which this time are to be found in the jungle. The last zombie map was a hit with fans and even had some voice over’s from various stars, and this one looks even better if the video trailers are anything to go by, the latest can be seen.
Now you may have already downloaded the DLC pack if you own the Xbox 360, but we also have rumors there will be another map pack released in September. According to an article onGigaBuster the pack called Retaliation will contain another five new maps. One of these is said to be a zombie one with the other four being multiplayer maps.
These are said to be called Mansion which is set in Castro’s secret compound in Cuba, Harbor which is set in a shipyard in the US, Metro set in Vietnam, and Cargo that is set in a frozen shipping center in Greenland. Having a release date in September will bring it pretty close to the release of the next game in the franchise and for PlayStation 3 owners closer still. So will many gamers be willing to lay out more cash so close to a new game being released?
Also you have to bear in mind that there is the small matter of Battlefield 3 being released around the same time, so gamers need to start saving. Back to the Annihilation DLC, have you downloaded it yet? What do you think of it? Will you buy the Retaliation DLC so close to Modern Warfare 3?
