Football star Reggie Bush's new love interest is causing people to do a double-take.
Us magazine reported that Kim Kardashian's ex is now dating model, actress and singer Melissa Molinaro. She is especially known for an Old Navy online ad in which she strongly resembles Kardashian .
Celebrity gossip sites are chasing each other to respond.
"We understand that moving on after such a long and public relationship is hard, but dating your ex's clone is not usually the healthiest way to do it," E! Online wrote.
"Reggie … you want Kim back SO MUCH that you've started dating IMPERSONATORS … FAIL!!!" statedMediaTakeout.com.
The New Orleans Saint player met Molinaro about two years ago, though TMZ reported they kept the friendship platonic at the time because they were both seeing other people. TMZ said they reconnected last summer and became an "official" couple by Christmas.
E! Online recently published a twitpic showing Bush at Molinaro's birthday bash earlier in June.
The Hollywood Reporter said Molinaro became a web sensation after the February Old Navy ad. She had appeared in MTV's "Making the Band 3" in 2005, during which she was almost earned a spot on the girl band Danity Kane before being eliminated in the final episode of the second season.
She later competed on CW's "Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search for the Next Doll" in 2007.
After trying acting on the dance flick sequel "Honey 2," she is now trying pop music as she records her debut album. The video for her first single, "Dance Floor," has generated more than 250,000 views on YouTube, according to Hollywood Reporter.
The Canada-born actress has taken the comparisons to Kardashian in stride.
"To me it's extremely flattering," she told E! Online in February. "She is a beautiful woman. That's an amazing compliment."
