Margaret June Van Amburg Jarvis

Margaret Jarvis, age 86, died May 29, 2011 after a brief battle with pneumonia. She was born in Yakima, Washington, June 1, 1924 to Charles Henry Van Amburg and Jessie Belle Wiggins.
She attended school in Yakima where she won tennis championships. Margaret then received a piano scholarship to Central Washington University in Ellensburg and graduated with a teaching degree. Her profession was teaching grade school. She loved being in nature, performing music, and spending time with her family.
Margaret was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and blessed others with her musical talent wherever she lived. She was a loving and responsible single mother who raised her children to live a life of adventure and service. Above all, she was true to her testimony of Jesus Christ.
Survived by her children, Rebecca (Dan) Kitchen, Paul (MalaRee) Jarvis, Sara (Joe) Kras, Keith Jarvis (Kris); 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents and siblings.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 1st, 2:00 p.m. at the Suncrest 6th Ward, 891 W. 130 No. Orem, with a viewing held one hour prior to services.
