July 4TH
Pink Floyd and lazar light show, 8 p.m., The Wharf, Orange Beach.

JULY 2

American Legion Post 44 and the city of Gulf Shores will present “A Family Day in America Stars and Stripes Celebration at 9 a.m., at the Sims Park Pavilion at the Bodenhamer Recreation Center. Family activities at this free event include a parade, music, games and an inflatable obstacle course, to name a few.

The town of Summerdale will present a fireworks show at 9 p.m., in Pioneer Park.

Fab Four Beatles tribute band, 8 p.m., The Wharf, Orange Beach.

JULY 3

A Freedom Celebration will be held at 6 p.m., July 3 just south of the rose garden at the Fairhope Municipal Pier.

The event, sponsored by First Baptist Church, Fairhope, will feature patriotic music sung  by a community choir. The Gettysburg Address, Preamble to the Declaration of Independence and Preamble to the U.S. Constitution will be recited by children. Some elected officials will speak. Every branch of the Armed Forces will be represented. There will also be a color guard, cannon fire and a “beach storming” by Navy Seals and Marines.

The celebration is free and open to the public. Bring lawn chairs or blankets for viewing comfort.

Perdido Beach Resort in Orange Beach will hold a Fireworks Gala and Barbecue on the property beginning at 6 p.m. Non-hotel guests must purchase tickets in advance: $25, adults; and $12.50, children under 12 if purchased by July 2. After that date, cost is $30 and $15, respectively. Children 4 and younger admitted free.

JULY 4

Municipal-sponsored fireworks displays will be held at:

Daphne, Trione Park, dusk

Gulf State Park Pier, 9 p.m.

Fairhope Municipal Pier, 9 p.m.

Elberta, VFW Post 5658, at dark.

Robertsdale, Garrett Park, 8:30 p.m.

Other activities scheduled for the Fourth of July:

Bay Minette Rotary Club will present a free public fireworks display behind Simmons Field at dark.

The Lillian Community Club will hold its 69th annual Fourth of July picnic at 10:45 a.m. A chicken dinner will be served until 2 p.m. Cost is $8; children younger than 8, no charge. Live music by Big Jake until 3 p.m. and other activities throughout the day.

Town of Elberta and VFW Post 5658 will hold a Fourth of July Celebration at the post, beginning at 2 p.m. Activities include water slides for all ages, music, games and food. No outside food, beverages or fireworks allowed.

Baldwin Pops Band Concert, Henry George Park, Fairhope, 7:30 p.m.

A Holiday Dance, hosted by Pat Crumby, will be held at the Loxley Civic Center from 2-5 p.m.. Dance to the music of  John and Jim; admission is $5. A potluck dinner will be held from 1-2 p.m., bring a covered dish and your favorite beverage.

American Legion Post 199 in Fairhope will offer barbecue chicken and pork plates for $8, beginning at 11 a.m., on July 4. The Tiki Bar at the beach stage will open at 5 p.m. A free concert by the Bay Runners will also take place at the beach stage from 5-8 p.m.

JULY 5

Candlelight Tour of Fort Morgan Historic Site, 7 p.m., Gulf Shores.
