Jet Star

Building on its hotel booking site, Agoda has signed on to develop holiday packages and specials with Jetstar Holidays with weekly Asia Pacific deals to roll out over the coming months.
Announced earlier this month with a live “soft launch” in March, the partnership allows Agoda to distribute its inventory on the carrier’s website as well as co-develop holidays with the airline.
“As two entities that have been focused on Asia Pacific destinations for much of the last decade, both Agoda and Jetstar have always been dedicated to getting travellers the best deals online,” Agoda president Robert Rosenstein said.
“Working together, we hope to create even more compelling offers.”
The new to expand offers and deals in the Asia Pacific region comes after Mr Rosentein told e-Travel Blackboard in an email interview that the hotel distribution group was “doing well in Australia” and was committed to ensure Agoda customers in Oz will “always receive good pricing and an adequate supply of rooms”.
Mr Rosentein explained that the company’s fixation on pricing, no booking fee, its easy-to-use website, promotions and rewards program are driving repeat as well as new customers into the site and away from competitors.
“Every day, we are adding more destinations and more hotels, both inside and outside Australia,” he said.
“Fortunately, the online channel is growing every day and Agoda is one of the many successful companies doing well in Australia.”
The company’s head explained that while he cannot determine the destinations that would remain cheap for Aussies with strong Australian dollar, customers could also take advantage of the pre-paid model and manage finances ahead of time.
“To maximise savings, customers should consider travelling in low season and should take advantage of early-bird specials by booking well in advance,” Mr Rosentein said.
“Customers should also consider restricted, non-refundable rates as these are often much cheaper.”
