Heidi Montag was rocking a hot new bikini bod at Saturday's Wet Republic party in Las Vegas, proof that spending 14 hours a day at the gym really does pay off.
"I've been working out from, like, 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. for two months now," she told UsMagazine.com. "I've been working out really hard because I had this pool party and I was like, I have to be in shape."
"And I was actually a lot overweight," added the 5'2" reality star, who says she weighed 130 pounds at her heaviest. "It was the most I've ever been because I've kind of been in hiding eating pie with my husband and puppies, so I needed to get back in shape."
Now back down to a trim 103 pounds, the 24-year-old said she kicked pie and fried chicken - her biggest weaknesses - in favor of healthier snacks like apples, cherries, and salads to fuel her lengthy gym sessions.
"I've been running a lot, and I've been doing weights," she said. "When you work out, you boost your metabolism, so you have to [make sure you eat enough]."
The "Hills" alum revealed she took a year off from the gym in order to recover from the 10 cosmetic surgeries she underwent in 2009.
"My breasts, because they were so big, really needed some time," she told Us. "So I'm just starting to work out again after my surgery. Sometimes I get shooting pains, but I hear that's normal."
Next up for Montag: "Famous Food," a celeb-reality competition slated to premiere on VH1 this fall.
