Brandy will be returning to the small screen in a guest role on the Lifetime TV drama Drop Dead Diva.
The actress-whose last television role was in the show Moesha in the 1990's—will be playing the role of Elisa, a nurse who has previously dated Josh Stamberg's character J. Parker. During her time on the show she will need Parker's help when her father's life insurance denies her payment, with "a big secret that no one will see coming" according to the show's producer Josh Berman.
The recurring guest role is slated to begin this summer. Said Brandy of her upcoming appearance: "Drop Dead Diva is on my favorites list. And I am so thrilled that I get to be on it for at least three episodes. And such a juicy role! I'm excited to play a woman with a secret that could have such a huge impact on other characters."
The show's upcoming third season will also feature guest appearances by Quinton Aaron,Patti Stanger, Kathy Griffin, Clay Aiken, Lance Bass, Wanda Sykes,Tony Goldwyn and LeAnn Rimes.
