During a media blitz to promote her new book "Demonic: How the Liberal Mob is Damaging America," the conservative political commentator criticized liberals for jumping to attack blogger Andrew Breitbart.
Breitbart was the first to publish Weiner's X-rated photos.
"The basic Republican response is not to attack the person who just releases the information," Coulter said on "Good Morning America" Tuesday. "Conservatives respond to their sex scandals differently because we don't elevate our leaders. We're worried about being consistent. We aren't comfortable with contradictory thinking."
In her book, Coulter explains that Democrats engage in groupthink behavior and collectively shut down their opponents.
"Just as fire seeks oxygen, Democrats seek power, which is why they will always be found championing the mob whether the mob consists of Democrats lynching blacks or Democrats slandering the critics of ObamaCare as racists," Coulter writes.
Coulter isn't the only conservative pundit to blast Weiner on the television circuit.
Glenn Beck said Tuesday that Weiner's scandal has put the nation in serious danger.
"You're telling me that that man didn't endanger the life of his wife?" Beck said. "Didn't endanger the lives of people around his wife, people around him, people of Congress, information of the United States?"
Beck also admitted that he felt "compassion" for Weiner.
"I don't know what trap he fell into but one of them is the Internet," he said. "And the Internet and porn and chat rooms and all of these things is a black hole."
