Rick Springfield, the pop rocker best known for his 1980's hit "Jessie's Girl" was reportedly arrested for drunk driving in Los Angeles earlier this week.
According to a new report from TMZ, the 61-year-old singer was stopped by police on the Pacific Coast Highway at 8 p.m. on Sunday, May 1 at which time L.A. County Sheriffs smelled alcohol in his car.
The singer was reported to have failed a sobriety test and his blood alcohol level was tested at .10 percent, two points above the legal limit of .08 percent. Steve Whitmore, a rep for the L.A. County Sheriff's department, reports that the singer was released from an area jail at around 2:30 a.m. on Monday, May 2 on $5,000 bond.
Springfield also made recent headlines for threatening to expose himself to fans during a promotional interview for his new memoir Late, Late at Night. The interview took place at the Los Angeles Festival of books earlier this month and when some fans started leaving Springfield offered them a different sort of entertainment.
