Maksim Chmerkovskiy

There have only been two seasons of "Dancing with the Stars" without Maksim Chmerkovskiy on board in some shape or form, but it looks like we may have to consider there being another season coming up without him in the near future. Rumors began on Monday that the longtime pro (who is arguably one of the most popular on the show) would be leaving the competition, and Maks neither confirmed nor denied the news speaking to AOL TV after the show:
"I don't know. It takes a lot out of you. When you invest that much of you into something that's supposed to be just work, you [can] get misinterpreted. I don't know [if I'm coming back]. We'll see. Right now, I'm drained."
When Maks left the show previously on season eight, he did so just to have some time off to try other things -- which could be what he wants to do this time, as well. However, it's also possible that he could go the way of Julianne Hough and enter the world of acting (he certainly has the personality for it).
Out of the three pros in the finale, Maks (who is dancing with Kirstie alley) is the only one to never have won the Mirrorball Trophy.
How bummed would you be if Maks decided to leave the show, and do you think ABC should throw as much money at him as possible to get him to stay?
