Jesse James

After years of being a selfless humanitarian, Jesse James thinks it’s time to think about himself. While promoting his new book American Outlaw, James told ABC’s Nightline this week that he wasn’t concerned whether his engagement to Kat Von D was hurtful to Bullock.

"I can't worry about her anymore,” James said. “I think I've spent a good chunk of the last five or six years worrying only about her, and what she thinks, and what I should do ... controlling all my movements and everything else ... I think it's time to worry about Jesse and making sure Jesse's happy."

Yes, that would be the same Jesse James who cheated on Sandra Bullock for months with Michelle “Bombshell” Mcgee, a woman who did a photo shoot dressed in Nazi regalia. Can you imagine what he would have done if he’d been acting selfishly?

Then, on Howard Stern’s Sirius radio show, James went on to imply that Bullock was to blame for his infidelity.

"She could stand there in front of the world and say she loved me, but in my mind I was thinking, ‘Yeah? Bulls**t. You don’t love me. I’m just some biker kid,’” he said.

Yeah! How dare Bullock tell people that she loved her husband? It’s like she wanted him to cheat on her!

And at this point, you might think that James couldn’t present himself any worse. But, of course, Stern then asked the Monster Garage star whether Bullock or Von D was better in bed.

"Kat Von D. One hundred per cent," James replied. "She's a vixen. If she cheated on me, I would forgive her and still love her."

Unsurprisingly, sources close to Bullock told PopEater today that the Oscar-winning Blind Side actress is furious with her ex-husband’s comments.

"He has got nerve going on TV and moaning that he has spent the last five years worrying only about Sandra when we all know the only person Jesse ever thinks about is himself," a friend of Bullock’s said. "He's learned nothing. He says that he has forgiven himself and moved on, but obviously doesn't give a damn about others forgiving him. If he did he wouldn't be reliving this ugly time again to sell a book."

And don’t expect to see Bullock in line to buy American Outlaw at the book store.

"Sandra won't be reading the book and if you want to make sure this man doesn't get financially reward for bad behavior I suggest no one else read it either,” said the insider.

Someone else who agrees with Bullock? James’ other ex-wife, Jamie Lindemulder, who says she’s currently writing her own tell-all.

“I have no intention (to read American Outlaw),” Lindemulder told Radar Online, “because I’m sure it is just one big ‘pity party’ for Jesse. The man lacks accountability and is known to talk only in half-truths. But it’s time he stops treating friends, workers, former business partners and especially women badly. He has a warped and disrespectful attitude towards women and people need to know the truth about that.”
