Following news that The Dark Knight Rises will be shot in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, news has come through from India that the nation's government has agreed to let Christopher Nolan shoot scenes for the closing part of the Batman trilogy in the city of Jodhpur.
The Information and Broadcasting Ministry has given the nod to US-based Cape Road Productions to shoot the upcoming film in the Blue City, according to Daily Bhaskar.
Christian Bale will reprise the role of Batman, with Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Tom Hardy, Marion Cotillard and Gary Oldman all set to star.
The Dark Knight Rises is due for release in 2012.
