Citizens Bank in Braintree was robbed Friday evening by a white male in his 20s.
For the second time in less than a week, Braintree police are investigating a bank robbery.
Just after 5 p.m. on Friday, May 27, police responded to Citizens Bank in South Braintree Square on Washington Street, where a teller told them a white male in his 20s passed a note demanding money. The suspect was given an unnamed amount of money and fled the bank toward Taylor Street. No weapon was shown, Deputy Chief Russell Jenkins said in a statement, and no one was injured.
The man was described as thin, about 5 feet nine inches tall, and clean shaven with acne. He wore a bright white T-shirt bearing an image on the front, darky navy blue jeans and a red baseball cap.
On May 24, officers responded to a robbery at Rockland Trust Bank on Washington Street, in which the suspect was a white man in his 30s decked out in Red Sox gear and wearing black tape on his fingertips.
The suspect in the May 27 incident also wore tape on his fingers, though his was clear. He also had large bandage on his left forearm, Jenkins said, as well as on the right side of his neck.
