Tamil actor Karthi got engaged to Ranjini at Erode in Tamilnadu on April 30, 2011. The low-profile ceremony was held at Ranjini's house.  Karthi's Sivakumar, mother Lakshmi, brother and actor Surya and his wife Jyothika and close relatives of both sides were present.
The wedding will be held on July 3, 2011 at the Kodesia Complex in Coimbatore. A grand reception will be held in Chennai, the venue and dates ares yet to be finalized.
Ranjini, a post graduate in English Literature is the daughter of Erode Chinnaswamy Jothi and Meenakshi and is studying at the Stella Maris College in Chennai.
Karthi made his acting debut in the year 2007 with the top-grossing film 'Paruthiveeran' and also recieved the Filmfare Award for Best Actor for his performance in the film.
