State Farm

State Farm
State Farm Mutual is being sued over claims it refuses to cover injuries resulting from a car accident in Pasadena.

David Suarez and Patricia Rocha filed a lawsuit on April 21 in the Harris County District Court against State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance alleging, among other things, negligence and violations of the Deceptive Trade Practices Act.

The plaintiffs says that on Oct. 16, 2009, they were injured when a 2004 Honda Accord, operated by uninsured driver Jennifer Dugar, struck Rocha’s car at the 12200 block of Beamer Road in Pasadena. The plaintiffs claim that even though State Farm promised to cover them under such circumstances, it refused to abide by the terms of their agreement.

Suarez and Rocha are seeking all damages to which they are entitled, attorney’s fees and court costs. They are being represented in the case by Houston attorney Herbert Janzen.
