| NBA Playoff Schedule |
The New York Knicks will be the third seed in the Eastern Conference and will meet the sixth-seeded Boston Celtics when the NBA playoffs begin Saturday. This will mark the Knicks first playoff appearance since 2004.
All of the Eastern Conference pairings are now set, with the regular season nearly concluded. The pairings are as follows:
- Bulls (1) vs. Pacers (8)
- Heat (2) vs. 76ers (7)
- Celtics (3) vs. Knicks (6)
- Magic (4) vs. Hawks (5)
There is still much to be decided in the Western Conference as playoff seedings will come right down to the final game of the regular season. The eight playoff teams have been determined, and the San Antonio Spurs will be the No. 1 seed. The Dallas Mavericks,Los Angeles Lakers and Oklahoma City Thunders are still jockeying for the second, third and fourth seeds, however. The Lakers and Spurs square off tonight with the Lakers having lost five straight games as the playoffs approach.
