Mob Wives

Mob Wives
Whether you liked it, despised it or didn't even care to turn it on -- the new series 'Mob Wives' is definitely getting Staten Islanders of all stripes talking this morning.

A majority of comments left on SILive.com took issue with the VH1 show's portrayal of Staten Island and Italians here being connected with the mob.
"What an awful way to portray Staten Island and those who are of Italian descent," wrote shea1969.
"Even when you take out the the interest factors (from S.I. and Italian), it's not a good reality show. It's terrible. The only way that this garbage is going to be taken off the airwaves is to not watch it and you can be sure next week, I'm not watching it. Those women should be ashamed of themselves allowing their children to be shown on national TV like that."
Mob Wives' follows the lives of four Staten Island women with thick New York accents who tan, party and drop F-bombs like, well, fuh-ged-about-it!
"I thought the show was horrible," wrote xraydaddy. "These so called women need to grow up. They are the reason I stay away from Fushimi, Bistro and South Fin. Disgraces!!
"Pathetic. Great example to show the world what staten island is all about," added biblegirl.
