For those seeking affordable houses in Mumbai, the forms for 4,034 flats in Maharashtra Housing Area Development Authority (MHADA) will be available from Wednesday till May 16.
For the first time the forms are available on the internet and can be downloaded from the websitewww.mhada.maharashtra.gov.in.
The forms for Mhada lottery can be submitted at any Axis Bank branch till May 19 and the result will be declared at Rangasharda in Bandra on May 31.
According to an official, anyone who has a problem with the online system can visit the MHADA centres.
“We are confident that the lottery will be a huge success,” said Amarjit Singh Manhas, chairman, Mumbai board.
As per the Mhada plan, of 4,034 flats, the Lower Income Group (LIG) - with a monthly income of Rs 8,000-Rs 20,000 – will get 3,133 flats.
Those from Middle Income Group (MIG) - earning Rs 20,000-40,000 a month - will get 280 houses, 365 houses are earmarked for High Income Group (HIG) - over Rs 40,000 a month and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) - for whom the scheme was originally introduced - will get 256 houses.
Along the application form, those from EWS will have to deposit Rs 10,000; from LIG will have to deposit Rs 15,000, from MIG Rs 25,000, and HIG Rs 50,000 and an additional Rs 50 will be charged for the application form.
