Masters 2011

Masters 2011
16.54: Harrington's had a howler there. Bogey on 15, double on 16. Almost as bad as the Official Masters Website, which is every bit as pompous and ludicrous as the tournament it purports to cover. It's not working. Presumably because of the amount of traffic. I suspect, though, that the horrific muzak they pipe out, and the 35 seconds of high-res azalea screenshots they play before you get anywhere may not be helping. Forget them, though. We've got a full leaderboard here, which will tell you that Retief Goosen is leading The Masters on his own on five under after a birdie on eight.
Infostrada: 'The lowest first round score at The Masters is a 63 (also the course record) by Australian Greg Norman in 1996'.LOT OF GOOD THAT DID HIM, EH SIR NF!!
16.30: I tell you what, chipping in from Rae's Creek would be easier than watching this ridiculous golf tournament on TV. But with tenacity, patience and technical skills (all of which elude me entirely on the golf course) I have, eventually, found it.
Rant over. It's The Masters! So what's been happening.
Well, if you lumped on Ross Fisher this morning, you're feeling pretty smug right about now. Four under through 12, is young Ross. Tremendous start. Goosen joins him on the top of the leaderboard, also4-under after just five holes. Eagle on the second.
Excitingly, Rory McIlroy - playing with Rickie Fowler in a group big on hair, power, and Rs (and Jason Day) - is also three under through five.
