The militant priest Robert Reyes and three others filed child abuse charges against TV game show host Willie Revillame at the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office Wednesday.
"As concerned citizens we denounce the exploitation and irresponsible treatment of the six-year-old Jan-jan on the show Wiling Willie. Revillame's actions and utterances debased, degraded, and demeaned Jan-jan's intrinsic worth, and dignity as human being and thus constituted psychological abuse, cruelty, and emotional maltreatment of the child,'' read the complaint, a copy of which the Inquirer obtained.
The other complainants were Froilan Grate, Francis Irene Bretana, and Noemi Dado.
Grate, who was among the first to criticize the alleged exploitation, is also among the respondents of a libel suit filed by Revillame in a court in Quezon City.
