Faith Hill

Faith Hill
Faith Hill will team up with Rock and Roll Hall of Famers The Pretenders Saturday night in Dallas for a live edition of CMT Crossroads, which teams country stars with rock and pop acts.

The two acts will trade vocals on each other's songs.  Hill tellsBillboard The Pretenders were at the top of her wish list when it came to doing a Crossroads episode.

"It's like '70s rock 'n' roll but with a little punk, and just so unique," she said.  "The music is exciting, and lyrically there's some deep stuff there, and [lead singer Chrissie Hynde's] phrasing is so incredibly unique.  They're just great."

As for the Crossroads performance, Hill admits, "It's going to be chaotic and it's live and that's going to bring an element of true excitement to the show.  We'll see.  We're just gonna have fun."

CMT Crossroads: The Pretenders and Faith Hill Live from the Pepsi Super Bowl Fan Jam airs Saturday night at 10:00 ET on CMT.
