Ramanujan Indian Mathematicians

Srinivasa Ramanujan Aiyangar (12 December 1887-26 April 1920) was a self-taught Indian mathematician, with almost no formal training in pure mathematics, he has made major contributions to mathematical analysis, number theory, infinite series and continued fractions. Ramanujan's talent was of the famous English mathematician GH Hardy said to be in the same league as legendary mathematicians like Euler, Gauss, Newton and Archimedes.
Born and raised in Erode, Tamil Nadu, India, Ramanujan first official meeting of mathematics at the age of 10 He showed a natural talent and was still books advanced trigonometry by SL Loney wrote.
Had dominated for 12 years and even discovered theorems of his own. He demonstrated unusual mathematical skills at school, winning praise and awards. Ramanujan to 17 conducted its own research on the mathematical Bernoulli numbers and Euler-Mascheroni constant. He received a scholarship to study at Government College in Kumbakonam, but lost when he failed his non-mathematical course. He joined another college to pursue mathematical research, working as a clerk in the office of the Accountant General of the Madras Port Trust Office to stay.
In 1912-1913, the samples were sent to his theorems to three academics at the University of Cambridge.

Only GH Hardy recognized the brilliance of his work, then invite Ramanujan to visit and work with him in Cambridge. He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society and Fellow of Trinity College, Cambridge, died from disease, malnutrition and infection of the liver in 1920 at the age can be 32.During his short life, Ramanujan independently compiled nearly 3900 results (in particular the identities and equations .)
Although a small number of these results were actually false and some were already known to most of their claims have been vindicated. He said the results were very original and unconventional as the first and Ramanujan Ramanujan theta function, and have inspired many new research results.
However, some of his most important discoveries in the slow consumer math force. Recently, Ramanujan's formulas have found applications in crystallography and string theory. The Ramanujan Journal, an international publication has been launched to publish work in all areas of mathematics influenced by his work.
